When a person is “saved,” they are drawn by the loving and gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit to recognize that God is real and that He is calling them to surrender their whole life to Him. Jesus is the One we invite into our lives. He takes our sin-filled, hopeless condition and gives us new life. It’s a life of victory, purpose, and the promise of eternity with Him.

We have been created as 3-part beings. We are a spirit, we have a soul (our mind, will, emotions), and we live in a body.

Because of His great love for us, God does something supernatural in our spirit. He moves us from spiritual death to spiritual life, from separation from Him to a restored relationship with Him. This is why we call it the NEW BIRTH. We spiritually become a brand new creation and live in a new kingdom.

In the beginning, God created mankind. Then there was the “Fall of man.” A moment in time when Adam gave his authority of rulership to the devil/Satan. As a result, sin, death, and spiritual darkness entered the picture for mankind and Satan became a cruel dictator over humanity.

But, Almighty God already had a plan prepared! Jesus is, was, and will always be the Savior of all mankind. Jesus saved us from the consequences of “The Fall” an eternal destiny of torment! He died on a Cross, became sin, and took our punishment of death and separation from Father God upon Himself. Then He went to hell, but instead of being held captive there, Jesus defeated Satan and stripped him of all power and authority.

Jesus then rose again to sit at the right hand of God in Heaven. He did all of that for us. He went to hell so we wouldn’t have to.

Jesus is the way for us to become children of God and receive eternal life!

The Bible tells us that if we confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. The invitation for salvation is to all people. It’s already been provided for, and with our free will we must choose to accept this  gift of salvation through Jesus.

The Kingdom of God is real. His Word shows us how to live in this new Kingdom while here on earth. That’s why it’s important to know you are a spirit being, who has a soul, and lives in   a body. This knowledge will help you win in life!

made new | spirit is born-again: you have a fresh start in God’s Kingdom

In the “new birth,” it is the spirit part of you that is made completely new. You have been born again! You have moved from death to life, from being enslaved by Satan (darkness) to being joined with God (light). You are now a part of God’s family!

re new | soul is renewed your mind, will, and emotions do not have to lead you anymore

You’ve probably noticed that this part of you seems the same, even after your new birth. It is, do not be discouraged! As you “feed” on the Word of God, the life of God in your spirit will work at “saving,” or renewing, your soul. This will help empower you to think the way God thinks and

to do life His Kingdom way.

be new | body is subject to spirit: you no longer have to be governed by impulse

Your body, like your soul, is still the same after the new birth. How you looked before you received Jesus is how you look now. With the life of God in your spirit, and the renewing of your mind, the Lord will enable you to say no to the “lusts of the flesh.” You will have the power to tell your body how you are going to live! The life of God in your spirit will also bring supernatural life and healing to your physical body.

Just as physical food strengthens and sustains your body, God’s Word strengthens your spirit and helps you grow in your faith.

God’s Word also renews your thinking. You will begin to see yourself, your circumstances, and the   world around you more like how God sees them. This renewed way of thinking will help you make choices that honor God rather than allowing your physical senses, emotions, or old patterns of living to dictate how you live.

Salvation is more than simply a moment of decision, it is the beginning of a brand-new life with God. It is a complete package that provides total life prosperity both now and for all eternity!
