"Can the Bible help me with...?"

"Yes! You're about to be enlightened!"

Big Questions. Bible Answers.

GET GOD'S WORD ON IT. GOD CANNOT LIE. HE WILL NOT DECEIVE YOU. HIS WORD IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

Money worries are keeping me awake. What do I do?

If financial worries are keeping you out of bed, you need a strategy, first and foremost, to fix the issue, not just money to pay the debt etc.

There is wisdom available and there is a way forward. Settle it within yourself. Don’t allow the pressure of money to run your life or push you through the wrong door.

God is your source. You’re a steward, you’re not the source. Ask Him to lead you as you spend time with Him. Pray in other tongues, believing that you receive God's direction.

I’ve messed up. Can I start again?

It doesn’t matter how many times you fall down. There may be consequences that you have to deal with, but that doesn't disqualify you from the Father's plan for you!

Micah 7:8 tells us, “When I fall, I shall arise.”

You might have fallen, but you’re getting back up.

Don’t judge your future by your present circumstance or situation. It’s temporal. It’s subject to change. Say this aloud, “Watch me get up!”

What do I do when my emotions are trying to take me in the wrong direction?

In Psalms, David essentially separates himself from what he is feeling:

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God.”

My soul is down, but I don't have to go down with it. You don't have to take its hand and let it lead you where it wants you to go. Everything wants to take you on a journey, even your emotions. “I've learned this through these years: I don't have to take its hand.” Just like David told his soul to hope in God, you can do the same. Speak words that will lift you up and that you know agree with God's plan for your life.

Does God hear me when I pray?

God hears.

If you've never met Jesus, He still hears when you call to Him.

And as His child, He's listening, helping and answering. He even helps us pray!

How do I know what God wants me to do?

The basis is to build your life upon His Word. The more time you spend with the Lord, reading, praying, praising, the more you will become sensitive to His unction, and to His leadership.

Even your “want-to” has to come into agreement with His plan and purpose, because “you can be messed up by your want-to.” The Holy Spirit breathes upon the written Word as we read it, bringing it to life for us. The Word helps direct our will, transform our thinking, and spiritually strengthen us to be led by God.

How do I forgive someone when they really hurt me?

By faith. We forgive through obedience to God by faith.

“But you don’t know what they did to me.”

“I know what Jesus did for you!”

Offense will shut your faith down quicker than anything.

Mark 11 is the great faith chapter. It shows us by faith mountains move, but they’re not going to move if you’re harboring stuff against people. Unforgiveness is dangerous to the person who holds it. Forgive and allow the freedom it brings to work in your life!

I feel completely overwhelmed. What do I do?

Start at the begining. You are a 3-part being. The pressure is screaming at you, the soul part. You don't need to stay at that place of intensity. As a born-again believer you can and must step into the Spirit.

You may say, “You have no idea, I’m under pressure.”

Then step into the Spirit. It’s not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit. Pray and praise until you begin to leave the mess behind and rise above it.

Something may be screaming at you about your health. Something may be screaming at you about your money. But you don’t have to live underneath what is screaming at you.

Step into the Spirit.

What should I believe when I need healing?

Believe what God says. This doesn't mean we deny the facts, or ignore the medical team. It means we have a solid foundation that we can completely believe. Bring yourself into agreement with His Word.

“Jesus did it!”

“I am healed by the stripes of Jesus!”

“By Jesus’ stripes we are healed; we were healed!”

“He sent His Word and He healed us!”

I’m scared about the future. What do I do?

Practically, you need to turn your focus to God. Think about how big He is, about how Jesus saved you and how His Word is working in your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 is spot on for you in this moment:

5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

Let not your heart be troubled — believe. All things are possible.

God has answers before you ever had questions.

God has solutions before you ever knew you had problems.

God went before you! Instead of being captivated by what the enemy is doing, we’re going to be captivated by what God is doing. It's good!

I don’t feel like I have much to offer. Do I really matter?

Yes.

Jesus came for you. You 100% matter.

There’s a parable Jesus told while He was here on earth. He talked about a shepherd who had 100 sheep. That’s a lot of sheep! Well, one sheep was missing. Jesus said the shepherd left the 99 and went in search of that one sheep. He went on a rescue mission for just one little sheep!

Jesus told that story to let us know that we matter. He came for the one! He came for you.

You are uniquely you, and you have so much to offer. The key is never to compare ourselves with one another. This isn’t God’s will. The devil wants us to compare because he works in that place to spread hopelessness, depression, and division.

As members of the Body of Christ, we each have a supply that God needs. He wants to work with you each and every day, in all that you do. Never think that what you carry is not a contribution to the whole. We’re all a part. Together, we make up a tremendous whole.

My job situation suddenly changed. What do I do?

Sometimes things happen unexpectedly.

A change in job. One minute you’re needed; the next minute you’re not. The company may downsize. Something may happen that you never expected, and suddenly it feels like your world has been rocked.

But don’t think your world is falling apart.

God is never taken by surprise by anything that happens in our lives. He gave us His Word for a reason: to equip us and help us rise in our soul (mind, will, and emotions) above the situations that pop up. With Him, there is always a "better thing to come!"

This isn't always the case, but sometimes, if God didn’t free us from certain responsibilities or jobs, we could never receive what’s next. What is always the case, though, is that He has a good plan for you. Don’t focus on what seems to be a loss when the road ahead carries more!

How do I know what’s true when everybody is saying something different?

You're right, there is so much confusion in the world today. The good news is, the confusion doesn't have to get in you! You have the Spirit of truth living on the inside of you. As you base your life upon the Word of God, pursuing the truth, then He has an invitation to lead you from the inside out.

A great truth declaration to say is this: “I hear the truth, whatever it is that’s going on, whatever is being said, I can hear the truth.”
