TOPIC: THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS

In the Bible, David essentially separates himself from what he is feeling. “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God.” If David could do this, it means you can as well.
Your soul is down, but you don't have to go down with it. You don't have to take its hand and let it lead you where it wants you to go. You can speak to your emotions and say "Bless the Lord, Oh my soul!" You can tell yourself how to feel. You can think on good things. You can rebuke oppression and forbid it to work in you. There's so much you can do through faith to overcome!
To get you started back in the right direction, beging with praising and thanking the Lord that He loves you unconditionally! You will see your emotions, your soul, respond!

No. You can feel something without allowing that feeling to become the direction of your life.
Your soul can be down, but you don't have to go down with it. You don't have to take its hand. Say out loud, "I'm not going to have my day held to ransom." Your words interrupt the thoughts and order your feelings into line.
There may be things going on around you and things going on within your soul. But, remember you a first and foremost a born-again spirit and God dwells within you! You still have the Word of God. You still have a voice: use it. Faith will bring stability. It will bring health to your emotions. It will bring spiritual clarity, and it will help you resist fear. The Word hidden in your heart will begin to impact your mind, will, and emotions, empowering you to win in life!

No. Not every thought that passes through your mind belongs to you.
If every thought was yours, why would Scripture tell you to take thoughts captive? There are thoughts that come by that are not yours, and you need to let them go on by. You don’t have to allow every thought to remain. Say, “I’m not listening to you. I’m not accepting you.” And then speak the truth.
If you’re having difficulty discerning what’s what, measure the thought against God’s Word. Ask yourself, “Does this thought agree with what God says?” God’s Word is the standard, not your feelings or circumstances.

Simply put, it means to recognise and refuse a thought instead of holding on to it, continuing to think about it, and allowing it to become part of who you are. We do this by using our words. Speaking interrupts the mind and is also how we activate the Kingdom laws and principles in our lives.
1. Recognise the thought. Just because a thought comes into your mind doesn't mean you have to accept it as your own.
2. Measure it against God's Word. Ask yourself, “Does this thought agree with what God says?” God's Word is the standard, not your feelings or circumstances.
3. Refuse to entertain the wrong thought. Don't give it room to grow. You don't have to follow every thought that enters your mind.
4. Cast it down. Make a deliberate decision to reject anything that contradicts God's Word. Don't allow it to remain and develop into an imagination.
5. Replace it with the truth. Find out what God's Word says about the situation and deliberately turn your attention towards that truth.
6. Speak God's Word. Instead of continually repeating what the wrong thought is saying, begin speaking what God says.
7. Keep your mind on the right things. Philippians 4:8 gives us a clear pattern for what we should be thinking about.
8. Be consistent. Taking thoughts captive isn't just a one-time action. It's part of developing a renewed mind and learning to live from your spirit rather than being governed by your thoughts and emotions.
You can't defeat a thought with a thought. This is a life-transforming truth. Think about it: how many times do you tend to stay silent, trapped in your thoughts and then the emotions that follow? And then, eventually, the words we speak are negative, fear-filled, and not in agreement with God's Word. We start to sabotage ourselves with our own words. You know what comes next? We begin to act out what we've been saying, feeling, and thinking.
This works on the positive side, too. Use your words to stop the bad thoughts and establish new, good thoughts. Instead of allowing life, others, or the enemy to plant thoughts that lead to your demise, go ahead and pick your own thoughts! Tell yourself what you're going to think about. If a thought says you're never going to make it, say, "No, I'm not accepting that. I don't believe that. In Christ, I've already made it, and now I'm walking out His good plan for me!"
The words you speak. The words you believe. What you focus on. What you repeat. What you feed on spiritually. Those things are seeds.
Your life today is the harvest of yesterday's seeds, and your future is the harvest of today's seeds. So don't just sit there allowing the wrong thing to grow.
Plant the right seeds. Protect them. Work the field of your life.

Listen to how you talk and chat. Are you living out of your spirit, or are you living out of your mind? Whatever is dominant in your life will be the object of your focus. If you want it to be God, His good plan for you, and His ways of living, then put those things before your eyes!
We're all about making things simple and doable! Faith comes by hearing God's Word. The Word needs to become stronger in you than everything that is trying to pull you in another direction. The Spirit of God quickens the Word, making it alive and productive in you. You need to hear yourself speaking the Word of God and speaking out your goals and dreams. See yourself becoming who God made you to be!
This is not remembering Scripture. This is working Scripture!

Don't allow one thing to become the lens through which you see everything else. One word from God can change everything.
Trouble wants to take you by the hand. Emotions want to take you on a journey. One negative thing can become the focus until everything begins to look like that one thing. You don't have to take its hand. Faith gives you another lens to see life through. The Word gives you another lens. Lift yourself higher than the moment. Don't spend all your time praying about what you don't like about the minute. Reach forward into your future. Pray in your heavenly language. Pray the Word of God. Praise the Lord, and see yourself rise above the situation. From this place of victory, you can speak by faith to the situation and receive Heaven's intervention.
This is an example of rising above oppression in your soul, no matter the circumstances or situation. You can do this because, when Jesus saved you, He also seated you in heavenly places, in a position of authority. Spiritually, you are in Christ, and because of this, you can speak to your life and tell it how it should be.

Yes.
Things that have not been right for so long can change all of a sudden. It can feel like a snap or a click of the fingers. Don't determine your future by how long something has looked the same.
It's going to work out all right.
Stay with the Word. Stay with prayer. Stay with what God has said.
Don't get in your head. Stay in your spirit and pray it out.
Heaven is responding.

It’s supernatural. Get God’s Word into you.
People who live strong spiritually become strong mentally, because the power they carry within them and the Word hidden in their heart begin to impact their minds. They don't faint in a time of trouble or struggle in the portals of their mind. The Word holds them stable in a time of adjustment.
That's why you tend your foundations, with the help of the Holy Spirit.
The Word is fuel. Pray, praise and obey. You keep tending and God gives the harvest.
